Rockville, VA - August 12, 2008 -- Dana Marlowe on the cover of the Washington Technology Magazine. TecAccess, the worldwide leader in accessibility and workforce solutions, is pleased to announce that Dana Marlowe, Senior Vice President of Business Development, has been selected as one of 1105 Government Information Group´s Rising Stars: The Class of 2008 - the up and coming in the government IT community.

An independent panel of judges chose Ms. Marlowe due to the difference she has made in the way agencies and companies develop, acquire, manage and use accessible electronic and information technology. "She believes technology can break down accessibility barriers and increase the number of people with disabilities who can find challenging jobs," writes Nick Wakeman in the August 11th issue of Washington Technology. "She is passionate about the work because ´technology at its core will help.´"

To pick Dana Marlowe, a leading authority in Section 508 and other accessibility standards, Washington Technology worked with its sister publications, Federal Computer Week and Government Computer News, to solicit nominations and gather a panel of judges. A total of 36 winners were identified, and they were divided according to the separate missions of 1105 Government Information Group´s publications. This is the third year of the Rising Star awards program, a prestigious honor that is modeled on Federal Computer Week´s Federal 100 awards program, which recognizes those who have gone above and beyond in the previous calendar year.

Dana Marlowe´s accessibility accomplishments in the Federal IT arena are profiled in the Aug. 11th issue of Washington Technology; while policy/management winners will be recognized in the Aug. 18 issue of Federal Computer Week; and technology winners will be profiled in the Aug. 18 issue of Government Computer News. In addition, 1105 Government Information Group has created an e-seminar series that includes an interactive forum for learning more lessons from the Rising Stars. Marlowe and the other awardees will be recognized for their accomplishments as part of the 21st annual GCN Gala to be held on October 22, at the Washington Hilton.
