Debra Ruh Wins the 7th Annual Women In Technology (WIT) Award

Manakin Sabot-May 30, 2006--Debra Ruh, WIT AwardCEO and president of TecAccess, the leader in electronic and information technology (E&IT) accessibility solutions in government, industry and education is the winner of the Seventh Annual Women in Technology Leadership Award in the Entrepreneur category.

Women in Technology (WIT) is the premier organization contributing to the success of professional women in the technology arena. This annual award recognizes women who exemplify the WIT mission to Connect. Lead. Succeed. Winners are chosen based on their ability to balance their roles as mentors, role models and leaders.

"A few years ago, I had a dream. My goal was to create a technology company that primarily hires persons with disabilities," said Debra Ruh. "Today, my dream has become a reality, as there are now over 60 associates at TecAcess with disabilities that are leading the world in technology, Section 508 and compliance solutions."

Ruh explained, "WIT´s mission to provide meaningful growth for women in technology - along with an emphasis on leadership -- echoes the very values in which my company was founded."

Debra Ruh received the WIT award at a ceremony attended by more than 250 leaders in technology at the Hilton McLean in McLean, Va. Maureen Bunyan, primary anchor for WJLA-TV in Washington, served as the mistress of ceremonies.

"It´s a tremendous honor to receive this award among so many gifted and talented women leaders in today´s technology field," said Ms. Ruh.

Other contenders for the award were Kelly Harman, CEO, The Harman Group; Dolly Oberoi, CEO, C2 Technologies; and Cindy Troutman, President CGH Technologies.
