Manakin Sabot-April 26, 2006-- TecAccess LLC, recipient of the 2005 New Freedom Initiative Award in the business category, joined with other recipients of the NFI Award on April 6, 2006 for the "NFI Circle of Champions," an information exchange during which awardees shared their thoughts, successes, plans, and the challenges they face in the employment of people with disabilities.

As a global leader in accessibility solutions in Section 508 compliance and employer of the very people for whom Section 508 was created - people with disabilities, TecAccess brought much expertise to the information exchange in the firm´s efforts to create working solutions for people with disabilities.

"All of the Circle of Champions participants are outstanding in their own unique way and exemplify the spirit of the New Freedom Initiative," said Debra Ruh, President and CEO of TecAccess. "This group of impressive business leaders understands the challenges and is taking the steps to fully utilize the talents and skills of all Americans with disabilities."

Also in attendance were representatives from Merck & Co., CSC, Hewlett Packard, SunTrust, and other award-winning leaders sharing a similar vision for disability employment. Keynote remarks were delivered by W. Roy Grizzard, Ed.D, the first Assistant Secretary for Disability Employment Policy. Dr. Grizzard, who himself has retinitis pigmentosa, was nominated by President Bush and is now responsible for advising the Secretary of Labor on issues related to the employment of people with disabilities.

Creating Working Solutions

TecAccess, along with the select group making up the "Circle of Champions," focused on a dynamic plan to increase employment opportunities for adults and youth with disabilities. TecAccess described their mission, which is two fold: to not only succeed as a professional services company by delivering best-in-class accessibility solutions, but to also "make a difference" in the lives of the disabled and disadvantaged community worldwide. TecAccess is able to make this difference through its efforts in offering alternative work environment solutions to its 60+ employees who have a variety of mobility, vision, hearing, and cognitive disabilities, who are utilizing a virtual office by telecommuting.

This open way of conducting business affords these talented associates the opportunity to share their wealth of knowledge and expertise that might otherwise be barred from employment if faced with having to go into a conventional office setting everyday.
